Freaky Findings

Temptation got the best of me and I harvested a couple ears of the corn.   It wasn’t “super sweet”, but it tasted like corn.  One of the ears did look a little funny, however.

Here I give you “Siamese Corn.”

It started out as a single cob, and then midway broke off into two individual cobs of corn.

And here’s “Hermaphrodite Squash Embryos.”

These embryo squash are too wide to be male and too straight to be female (female squash look like baby squash).

Here’s the squash up in the corner (2 o’clock position) two days later that quadrupled in size.  This one is a little disfigured too.

Maybe there’s something in the air.  Annie’s Granny had a truly freaky zucchini that she grew in her garden.

Happy Gardening!!!

These freaky vegetables….must be Obama’s fault. The poor guy gets the blame for everything else, might as well blame him for freaky veggies.

My guy just can’t get a break. Maybe we’ll put this one on Michelle…she is the one in charge of the veggie garden.
