Thanks, you guys. My father had been dealing with some health issues for a long time, but he wasn’t a complainer and I just had no idea the end was so close.

Cheryl, my “father” is still living, but my “Dad” passed away nearly five years ago. He’d been my daddy since I was five years old, and it was terribly difficult to lose him. He’d been in good health, but fell and broke his hip on Mother’s Day that year. He never fully recovered, and we lost him just before Christmas. I still miss him.

    Cheryl,
You know I am very sorry for your loss and that I share in your pain. I’m sure you know papa is in a better place and it is better for him especially considering the way he was surviving.

    Bettyinga-Thank you.

Annie-You’ve got to respect a man that steps up to the plate when there are kids involved from previous relationships. It’s obvious he made a difference in your life. Sorry he’s no longer here.

Melissa-If I had taken the time to visit I would have seen how he was “surviving” instead of just using the mental picture I had of him.
